Legio Fenix Members,
There are about to be some major changes in our guild, and we want to take a minute to explain these changes and the reasoning behind them.
Legio Fenix has been around for 3.5 years. Yes, it has actually been that long. Hard to think of it in terms of years, isn't it? During this 3.5 years, the Tribunus has worked tirelessly to keep things running as efficiently as possible. While it may not look like it to everyone, it's an extremely difficult job; even split 5 ways.
To put it very bluntly, the 5 of us are very tired. Tired of running a 25 man guild, keeping up with all of the tracking, endlessly looking for new people, and begging people to show up for raids. We are just tired. This has become a second job to us, and jobs aren't always fun. So rather than quit WoW, and leave behind the guild that we all love and think of as home, we've decided to make some significant changes in order to bring the fun back. Some of our members will enjoy the changes, some won't. We apologize in advance if you are one of the members that are unable to adjust to the new LF vision; unfortunately though there is no way to avoid the changes.
Legio Fenix is changing formats, and philosophies. We are moving to a 10-man raid format, and the number of raid days will be cut by 50%. We will raid 3 nights every two weeks. The guild members that remain will be picked by the Tribunus in a manner described in the new charter. We realize this change will not appeal to everyone, and we will certainly understand if you feel the need to find a home elsewhere. Please know that there will certainly be no hard feelings.
Our final 25 man raid night will be Feb 27, after which we will have a guild gathering to celebrate the years LF has enjoyed success. In a fun-filled, party atmosphere we will be giving away many prizes and cool things from the guild bank. We also have a surplus of gold in the guild bank, and are working to liquidate anything not given away. Once we have the final total of gold tallied, it will be distributed amongst the raiders of LF (there will be a sliding scale where your longevity in the guild is a multiplier for how much gold you receive). NOTE: To receive this gift you must be present for the Feb. 27th party (means you must be in guild) or have made arrangements with the Tribunus. After the giveaway on the 27th, we will be removing everyone from guild. Those of you who express interest in staying with the 10 man guild will have the opportunity to ask for a guild invite. Please be aware that we cannot take all of you on this new journey, and for that we are truly sorry.
I want to take just a minute to thank each and every one of you for making Legio Fenix not just a guild but a home for many years. To those of you who we were just getting to know, thank you so very much for your willingness to participate in what was one of the best 25-man raiding guilds around. We really do love you all (like that uncle we never talk about!)
