The Praetorian Alliance had been dissolved. All those who had served as either Praetor or Primus had finally agreed that the Alliance would be better served if it were allowed to pass into the realm of memory. After explaining their reasoning and bidding farewell, these former Praetorian leaders bid farewell to those they had led through a myriad of perilous encounters with some of the most powerful beings in Azeroth.
As the silence stretched on for hours, a few others decided that perhaps it was also time for themselves to retire from the adventuring life, and quietly departed from the gathering. Those that remained began to slowly mingle with each other, reminiscing of battles won, enemies defeated, and friends lost. Some who previously only knew each other only by name discovered that they had a great deal in common, while yet others that had long been fast friends found the bonds of friendship strengthened.
Finally someone addressed what remained of the gathering.
"Friends, the Alliance may be dead, but what the Alliance built will only end if we allow it to. Look at us, friends and fellow warriors, closer to each other now than we were before this ordeal. Being a Praetorian has shaped me into what I am today. It has shaped each and every one of us, for the better I believe. If we retain that in our hearts, then perhaps the Praetorian Alliance will live on in each of us.
"To that end, I propose that we organize ourselves, reborn as the Legio Fenix. We cannot ressurect the Praetorian Alliance, but we can attempt to continue to live by the ideals upon which it was founded. We cannot bring back those friends that have chosen to leave our company, but we can strengthen the ties of friendship amongst ourselves and seek out those who would join our company. We cannot live in the past, but we can work to build a bright and glorious future for Azeroth.
"Join me, and together this new Legion will go forth to defeat those that would enslave or destroy this world. Join me, so that we might better care for and protect each other. Join me, in remembrance of what has brought us here and in hope for what might yet be.
"What say you?"
And so the Legio Fenix was born.

For the Alliance
On our final "real" 25 man raid night, Legio Fenix decided to take on the Faction leaders of the horde cities. We managed to do it in 59 minutes, with only 4 deaths! Impressive!
We laughed mightily as the cries of "Who just pwned our cities?!" rang out across Dawnbringer's horde population.
Afterward we collected ourselves at stormwind harbor and took some pictures!
Its been a long road, Legio Fenix, and a good one. To those moving on to other places, I have every confidence in your ability to do wonderfully, and I know the things you can accomplish are innumerable!
To those staying with us...see you on tuesday

Incoming Changes!
Legio Fenix Members,
There are about to be some major changes in our guild, and we want to take a minute to explain these changes and the reasoning behind them.
Legio Fenix has been around for 3.5 years. Yes, it has actually been that long. Hard to think of it in terms of years, isn't it? During this 3.5 years, the Tribunus has worked tirelessly to keep things running as efficiently as possible. While it may not look like it to everyone, it's an extremely difficult job; even split 5 ways.
To put it very bluntly, the 5 of us are very tired. Tired of running a 25 man guild, keeping up with all of the tracking, endlessly looking for new people, and begging people to show up for raids. We are just tired. This has become a second job to us, and jobs aren't always fun. So rather than quit WoW, and leave behind the guild that we all love and think of as home, we've decided to make some significant changes in order to bring the fun back. Some of our members will enjoy the changes, some won't. We apologize in advance if you are one of the members that are unable to adjust to the new LF vision; unfortunately though there is no way to avoid the changes.
Legio Fenix is changing formats, and philosophies. We are moving to a 10-man raid format, and the number of raid days will be cut by 50%. We will raid 3 nights every two weeks. The guild members that remain will be picked by the Tribunus in a manner described in the new charter. We realize this change will not appeal to everyone, and we will certainly understand if you feel the need to find a home elsewhere. Please know that there will certainly be no hard feelings.
Our final 25 man raid night will be Feb 27, after which we will have a guild gathering to celebrate the years LF has enjoyed success. In a fun-filled, party atmosphere we will be giving away many prizes and cool things from the guild bank. We also have a surplus of gold in the guild bank, and are working to liquidate anything not given away. Once we have the final total of gold tallied, it will be distributed amongst the raiders of LF (there will be a sliding scale where your longevity in the guild is a multiplier for how much gold you receive). NOTE: To receive this gift you must be present for the Feb. 27th party (means you must be in guild) or have made arrangements with the Tribunus. After the giveaway on the 27th, we will be removing everyone from guild. Those of you who express interest in staying with the 10 man guild will have the opportunity to ask for a guild invite. Please be aware that we cannot take all of you on this new journey, and for that we are truly sorry.
I want to take just a minute to thank each and every one of you for making Legio Fenix not just a guild but a home for many years. To those of you who we were just getting to know, thank you so very much for your willingness to participate in what was one of the best 25-man raiding guilds around. We really do love you all (like that uncle we never talk about!)
It has been an honor,

Deathbringer Saurfang is Dead!
After many, many, many attempts and nights of wiping, blood boils, marks, beasts and general mayhem, the valiant soldiers of Legio Fenix at last prevailed - though, with the sacrifice of many pretty, pink paladins. In the end, the former hero of the horde was dead. And all his daddy could do was cry big tears of QQ. (Almost reminded us of a certain pretty pink paladin we all know and love.)
Once again, a fantabulous job, everyone! Only another week or two until the gnomes have the upper levels of the citadel open! Watch out Arthas, we're on the move!
