Preamble In light of the drastic changes we have recently been faced with, Legio Fenix is forced to respond in equally drastic measures. Much like the mythical Phoenix, our guild is going through some magical changes; rising from the ashes so to speak. Because we are in many ways a new creature, we are amending our original charter. Legio Fenix will adhere to the following core principles and beliefs.
1. Legio Fenix is a Family Legio fenix is a group of close knit friends who have been raiding together for a long, long time. Over the years we have had ups and downs, but have always enjoyed the fun and camaraderie of raiding. We not only enjoy killing new bosses, but revel in the fun and laughter our friends have each night. To this end we choose to remain a small, and in many ways an elite, group of people with like mindsets.
2. Legio Fenix is a casual guild that enjoys raiding. Legio Fenix believes that all of our members have a wonderful life outside WoW. To keep us enjoying both worlds we believe in a casual raid schedule; one that will not consume too much of our real lives while at the same time allowing us to enjoy the digital one we have created.
When raiding however we will continue to strive for the success that Legio Fenix is accustomed to having. We promise to emphasize the FUN while progressing in a 10 man environment.
We will be raiding three times every two weeks. Raid nights will last 2-3 hours depending on how the team is feeling that night. The specific raid days will be discussed among the 10 man team and will be posted here later.
3. Legio Fenix will maintain a family-friendly, community atmosphere. All public channels including Guild chat, raid chat and vent will be kept clear of any discussions that you wouldn't want a 2 year old child to hear. Use common sense or risk being removed from guild. This may sound harsh but many of us have children around.
4. We expect each member to be responsible. This includes but is not limited to: Being on time (15 minutes prior to raid time), having food/flasks, knowing the fights, being repaired, and most of all, being able to execute your role skillfully.
4. LF will be very selective about who is invited. In order to ensure that our guild maintains the family atmosphere, it is important that we limit membership. Membership will be at the sole discretion of the Trib. There will be no appeal process, no applications, no arguing, or whining. This may sound elitist, but LF is evolving into something new and our vision has changed.
5. Respect your fellow guild mates. Always remember that there is another human being behind that digital image. We will at times disagree and in rare cases fight (much like a real family). But when we have difficulties it is each member’s responsibility to work it out amiably. This is not only true in “green chat” or whispers but in any format. Our members need to maintain a level of respect in Pugs, trade channels, etc… Remember you are representing our family at all times.
6. ZERO DRAMA TOLERANCE Drama will be handled by swift and severe consequences. We are here to have fun amongst a group of friends; by definition drama is not fun. If you are unable to work out your problems with one another like mature adults, you will be escorted from the premises PERMANENTLY!
7. There will be no attendance tracking or dkp system. We currently have two rules of thought on this; either run with our current ten man loot policy, or just do random rolls. Since we are all friends loot policies won’t even be an issue, but will be posted here once finalized.
8. There will be no officer core. There will be no middle management between the Tribunus and our members. With such a small group of people, we do not need anyone to perform the duties our officers were once tasked to complete. This means all strategy will be done in raid chat and everyone is free to join in the conversation. Keep in mind however that the ultimate decision still rests with the Raid Leader of the night.
8. Legio Fenix is not for everyone. We understand that our new visions are not for everyone. Each of us plays this game for different reasons. We also understand that the changes in how Legio Fenix will function may not appeal to everyone. Many of us have enjoyed our long and prosperous run, but as with all things “change is inevitable”. For those of you that decide and are invited to stay amongst friends we are truly honored by your presence. To those that decide to leave or are asked to leave the LF family, we hope for the best in wherever your travels take you.
