I got hooked on this show last year. I watched the whole season and was very entertained. However, this season i'm losing interest fast. It seems every single person from the group of other people they found on the other side of the island last year is now dead. Now, as you Lost watchers know... last season was devoted to that plot. Now they're all gone. What's the point? If this show continues like this, I will be able to make the beginning of MC raids.
I am really enjoying Heroes, although it could be much better. If it was written for HBO or one of the smaller networks I think it would be "edgier". The dialogue/plot a little slicker, less....I don't know, dumbed down for general audiences. But, don't get me wrong, it's great, but it's no Battlestar Galactica.
As far as LOST goes, I lump that in the same category as PRISON BREAK. Both are FANTASTIC shows with constant edge-of-your-seat suspense. But, they have TOO much suspense. When EVERY single scene is practically a cliff hanger and they try TOO HARD to shock/surprise you, you eventually get numb to the cliff-hanger and then cynical. With both of those shows, if I miss an episode or two, no biggie. I'll catch up in the episode summary before each show.
Heroes is just great entertainment. And Battlestar is the best written show on TV, with the possible exception of Studio 60, which can get a little preachy.
Studio 60 is probably my favorite TV show on right now, although I really like all teh shows mentioned a LOT. I just love the way Aaron Sorkin tv shows are written (Studio 60, West Wing, Sports Night)

[10:08] Hum: it says @Hum, which means you're saying it to me. You fail twice

Heroes is by the far the best show to hit main stream television in a number of years.
I watch minimal TV (1-3 shows per week) and they are almost all Tivo'd, but Heroes is good enough to make me watch it almost live last night. (DVR was recording, and I started watching about 20 minutes into it, so I could fast forward thru the ads).
Never got into Lost, seemed too contrived to me, almost like the writers/producers have no clear ending in mind. Have heard good things about Prison Break, but never got into it.
But I agree with Blackal, the writing on Sorkin shows is top-notch. I loved Sports Night when it was on. CrankyOldMan 70 Warlock 315 Enchanter/375 Miner
About them killing off all the ppl from the other side of the island... it wasnt planned. The stupid actressed that played Ana and that block girl that Hurley liked both got into RL problems... so they killed em off.
